Antique late 1800s Mariner's Compass hand-stitched quilt with bright & vibrant Turkey red bars, wonderful use of black and blue calico fabric, very soft handfeel & lots of hand sewn detail. Midweight.

Condition: fair, the body of the quilt is excellent, the binding is not and it needs new binding. A little bit of fading on the red bars in a couple of areas.
This antique quilt has been hand-washed and hung in the air to dry. It is always recommended to soak quilts to wash and lay or hang in the sun to dry. Do not wash an antique quilt in the washing machine.
