Vintage early 1930s Bulgarian thick cotton folk dress with embroidery, hooks and eye closures at the bodice, full skirt and black cotton sash belt.
I purchased this dress in the mountain town of Koprivshtitsa, Bulgaria some years ago. It is a dress worn in a specific area of the Balkans, it's colors representing a particular area. The sash is not original, but it is cotton and I felt it suited the dress perfectly.
